Supplier Lock

When you lock a product's supplier, Repricefy stops monitoring that supplier's website for price and stock changes. The last known price is frozen and used for all margin calculations.

Lock OFF (normal)

  • Supplier monitor scrapes price every 4h
  • supplierPrice updates automatically
  • supplierInStock updates automatically
  • Floor/ceiling recalculates with new price
  • OOS detection can zero Amazon qty

Lock ON (locked)

  • Supplier monitor skips this product
  • supplierPrice frozen at last value
  • supplierInStock always true
  • Floor/ceiling uses frozen price
  • OOS never triggers

When to use it

Negotiated pricing

You bought inventory at a negotiated price that's different from the website price. Lock keeps your real cost as the basis for floor/ceiling calculations.

Own stock / warehouse

You have your own stock and don't depend on the supplier being in stock online. Lock prevents false OOS alerts from zeroing your Amazon quantity.

Distributor / invoice sourcing

You're sourcing from a distributor via invoice, not a retail website. The website price is irrelevant to your actual cost.

Manual cost basis

You want to set a specific cost basis for your floor price calculations — regardless of what the supplier's website shows.

How it works

1

Click the Lock icon

In the product detail panel on the Products page, click the Lock badge next to the supplier code. It turns amber when active.

2

Price is frozen

The current supplier price is frozen in your database. It won't change until you unlock the product.

3

Always in stock

The product is treated as always in stock. OOS detection is disabled — your Amazon quantity won't be zeroed.

4

Repricing continues

Your floor and ceiling prices are calculated using the frozen cost. All repricing strategies keep running normally.

Important notes

  • If the real supplier price drops, you won't see the savings until you unlock.
  • If the supplier goes OOS, Repricefy won't zero your Amazon qty — you're responsible for stock.
  • You can unlock anytime to resume automatic monitoring.
  • Locking does NOT stop repricing — it only stops supplier updates.

Frequently asked questions

Does locking affect my repricing strategy?

No. All repricing strategies continue normally. Only the supplier price and stock monitoring stops. Your strategy still calculates prices based on Buy Box, competitors, and your floor/ceiling — just with a frozen supplier cost.

What happens when I unlock?

The supplier monitor will check the supplier on the next cycle (every 4 hours) and update the price and stock status. If the price changed while locked, your floor/ceiling will recalculate automatically.

Can I change the supplier price while locked?

Yes. Edit the supplier price manually in the product detail panel. The new price will be used for all calculations while the product stays locked.

Does Lock work with FBA listings?

FBA listings don't use supplier stock for quantity management (Amazon manages inventory). Lock still freezes the supplier price for cost calculations, but OOS zeroing doesn't apply to FBA.

Will I miss a price drop while locked?

Yes. If the real supplier price drops, you won't see the savings until you unlock. Consider reviewing locked products periodically to catch any favorable changes.

What if the supplier goes out of stock while locked?

Repricefy won't zero your Amazon quantity — you're responsible for managing stock. This is the intended behavior: you told Repricefy you have your own supply.
